Who we are
SoundHull is a pilot product for recording the condition of boats. If you have a question about anything on this page, or you want your information removed, write to hello@soundhull.example and we will deal with it.
What the demo form collects
The form on our contact page asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, the type and length of your boat, and a message. We use it to arrange a demonstration and to reply to you. Nothing else.
What the app stores
If you use SoundHull itself, it holds the record you create: inspections and their answers, findings and their severities, photographs you take, repair and cost records, reports, notes, and the name and email on your account.
Photographs are stored as you took them. A photograph can carry location data written by your phone's camera; where it does, that travels with the image. If you would rather it did not, turn location off for your camera before you inspect.
Where it lives
Your data is held on our hosting provider's servers and their attached disk storage (currently Render). It is not copied to anywhere else, and it is not processed by any analytics or advertising service. These pages set no cookies and load nothing from anyone else's servers.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, licence or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The only people who see it are the people running SoundHull, and only to run SoundHull.
A record you deliberately share — a report sent to a buyer, or a resale pack — is shared because you chose to share it, with the contents you chose.
How long we keep it
Demo requests are kept while we are still in touch with you and deleted within 12 months of our last contact. Inspection records are kept for as long as your account is open. This is a pilot, so the retention position may change; if it does, we will say so here before it takes effect.
Your choices
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Email hello@soundhull.example. We will not make you justify the request, and deleting your data will not cost you anything.
