Terms of use
Pilot software
SoundHull is early-access pilot software, provided as is. Features may change or be withdrawn, and there is no guaranteed availability or support response time. Please do not rely on it as your only copy of anything important.
Pricing is indicative, not a quotation
Every cost figure SoundHull shows is an indicative range, produced from a catalogue of typical repair costs scaled by severity and vessel size. It is not a quotation, not an offer, and not a valuation. Always request quotations from a yard or contractor before committing to work or to a price.
SoundHull is not a marine survey
SoundHull records what was inspected and what was found. It is not a marine survey, it is not a certificate of condition or seaworthiness, and it does not replace the judgement of a qualified surveyor, engineer or naval architect. Where a professional opinion is needed, get one.
What the photo recognition does
SoundHull flags visible indicators in a photograph — things like staining, growth or surface crazing — and shows the measurement behind each flag. It does not decide what is wrong with your boat and it cannot see beneath a surface.
Every suggestion is marked as unconfirmed until a person confirms it. You may confirm it, change its severity, or dismiss it. Until you do, nothing is recorded against the vessel. Conditions that cannot be settled from a photograph are referred for professional confirmation rather than being called either way.
Your record is yours
You keep ownership of the inspections, photographs and reports you create. You are responsible for having the right to inspect and photograph the vessel, and for what you choose to share.
Accuracy and liability
We work hard to make SoundHull correct and honest about its limits, but during the pilot we give no warranty that it is complete or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of an indicative price, a flagged indicator, or an inspection record — including buying, selling, repairing or going to sea.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
